Manchester Christmas Markets Return on 6 November 2026

Manchester’s festive calendar moves into a busy period this week, with the city’s Christmas Markets opening on Friday 6 November 2026. More than 210 stalls will be spread across ten city-centre locations, offering seasonal food, drinks, gifts and crafts. Entry to the markets is free, while selected attractions and activities require payment.

Albert Square and Cathedral Gardens will remain open through Sunday 3 January 2027, extending the festive season beyond the main market dates. The Manchester Festive Wheel also opens at Albert Square on Saturday 7 November, with online Tickets available for rides on the 50-metre observation wheel.

Saturday 7 November also brings free family-friendly fireworks at Heaton Park, Platt Fields Park and Wythenshawe Park. Reduced-noise displays are scheduled for 5pm, followed by the main fireworks at 8pm. From Sunday 8 November to Thursday 12 November, the Manchester Animation Festival will present screenings, premieres and special events across the city.

Whether you are planning a seasonal day out, a festival visit or a city break, fans and visitors can find Tickets for Manchester events on infotickets.com.
