Boca Juniors began the 2026 Messi Cup with an impressive 3-0 victory over Manchester City on Sunday, October 25. The club’s 2011 youth team scored all three goals during the opening stages of the match and finished the first group game with a clean sheet.

The result gives Boca Juniors an excellent start in Group D, which also includes Flamengo and UE Cornellà. The tournament brings together 16 youth teams in Miami, with the group stage running from October 25 to 27 before the knockout rounds begin.

The next confirmed fixture for Boca Juniors is against UE Cornellà on Monday, October 26. The match is the club’s second Group D game in the Messi Cup, ahead of the final group fixture against Flamengo on Tuesday, October 27.

The club’s senior team also secured a place in the Copa Sudamericana final last week after beating Vasco da Gama 3-1 in Rio de Janeiro on October 21. That result completed a 3-2 aggregate victory in the semifinal.
