Mutua Madrid Open 2027 adds 25th-anniversary appeal as equal prize money milestone arrives

The Mutua Madrid Open 2027 is scheduled for April 19 to May 2, 2027, at Caja Mágica in Madrid. The tournament will celebrate its 25th anniversary, with the ATP and WTA events returning to the Spanish capital on outdoor clay courts.

A major recent development is the WTA’s confirmation that the Mutua Madrid Open will be among the combined WTA 1000 tournaments awarding equal prize money to women and men in 2027. The event also remains part of the men’s ATP Masters 1000 calendar, underlining its position as one of the leading tournaments of the European clay-court season.

Official ticketing is already listing sessions at Caja Mágica throughout the tournament period, including daytime and evening options at venues such as the Estadio Manolo Santana and Estadio Arantxa Sánchez Vicario. Player lists and match schedules will be confirmed closer to the event, so fans should check the official programme before planning a particular session.
