The 1. Fußball- und Sportverein Mainz 05 e. V., also known as FSV Mainz 05 or simply Mainz 05, was founded on March 16, 1905 in the city of Mainz. Throughout its history, great players like Jürgen Klopp, Dimo Wache, Andriy Voronin, André Schürrle, Manuel Friedrich, Mohamed Zidan, Bojan Krkic or Loris Karius have dressed the red and white shirt.
