How to get to San Siro Stadium

  • Metro 🚇

    M5 (Lilac line): San Siro Stadio — direct to the stadium entrance.

    M1 (Red line): Piazzale Lotto — 20 min walk along Viale Caprilli.

    From Milano Centrale: M2 to Garibaldi FS, then M5 to San Siro Stadio (~25 min total).

  • Tram & Bus 🚌

    Tram 16 — stop Piazzale Axum, near the entrance.

    Bus 49, 64, 78, 80 serve the stadium area. Bus 98 from Piazzale Lotto (M1) also useful.

    All fill up on matchdays — allow extra time.

  • Lampugnano Shuttle 🚍

    Free matchday shuttle between Lampugnano car park (M1 Red line) and Via Achille, adjacent to the stadium.

    Departs from Via Natta (pedestrian exit of Lampugnano metro). Returns from Via Achille (corner Via Tesio) after the match.

  • Car / Taxi 🚕

    Limited street parking near the stadium.

    Taxi/Uber drop-off on Viale Caprilli or Via Piccolomini.

    From Milano Centrale: ~25 min, €20–25. From Malpensa Airport: ~45 min, €50–60.

Important information — San Siro Stadium

✓ Arrival time: Gates open 90 min before kick-off. Metro M5 is packed 60 min before big matches — leave the city centre at least 75 min early.

✓ Last seasons at San Siro: With demolition planned after the 2025–26 season, this may be your last chance to watch football in this iconic three-tier stadium. The Curva Nord (Inter) and Curva Sud (Milan) are among the most atmospheric stands in world football.

✓ Who plays when: AC Milan and Inter Milan share the stadium. Inter uses fully digital tickets; AC Milan accepts printed and digital. Both enforce strict ticket ownership verification.

✓ Documentation required: Ticket + valid photo ID. Both clubs enforce personalised, non-transferable ticketing.

✓ Prohibited items: No large bags, drones or professional cameras. No cloakrooms on site. Food stalls (porchetta, beer) outside near the stadium — arrive early to enjoy them.
