Rennes–Olympiacos moved to 4 November as Europa League Matchday 4 opens early

The next match in the 2026/27 Europa League league phase will now take place on Wednesday, 4 November, after UEFA rescheduled Rennes against Olympiacos from its original Thursday date.

The fixture will be played at Roazhon Park, with kick-off confirmed for 16:30 CET. UEFA said the change followed advice from French authorities, who could not guarantee the required safety and security conditions for 5 November because of planned strikes and protests.

Matchday 3 was completed on 22 October. Confirmed results included Hoffenheim’s 3-0 win over Lyon, Bournemouth’s 3-0 victory against Milan, and Olympiacos’ 1-0 home win over Sparta Praha. The competition’s league phase began on 16 September and is scheduled to conclude on 28 January 2027.

The remaining Matchday 4 fixtures are scheduled for Thursday, 5 November, including Milan against Ferencváros, Crystal Palace versus Hoffenheim, Real Sociedad against Lyon, and Sunderland versus GNK Dinamo. Kick-off times vary by match.
