Round 8 tips off with Dubai Basketball facing Paris

The latest round of Euroleague Basketball 2026/27 delivered a full slate of big results, with Valencia Basket beating Paris Basketball 104–93 on October 23. Real Madrid also continued its strong run by defeating Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv 113–99, while Barcelona earned an important 89–81 win away to EA7 Emporio Armani Milan.

After seven rounds of the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, Fenerbahce Beko Istanbul and Panathinaikos AKTOR Athens are level at the top with 6–1 records. Valencia Basket and Dubai Basketball are close behind at 5–2, keeping the early race tightly packed and leaving very little room for a slow week.

The competition has also seen major confirmed roster changes since the summer. Mike James moved to Anadolu Efes Istanbul, Shane Larkin joined Fenerbahce, Moustapha Fall switched to Panathinaikos, and T.J. Shorts became part of Valencia Basket’s new-look group. Those moves are already adding extra storylines whenever these teams meet.

Next up, Round 8 begins on October 27 with Dubai Basketball hosting Paris Basketball. Crvena Zvezda Meridianbet Belgrade meets Maccabi Rapyd Tel Aviv, Bayern Munich takes on FC Barcelona, and Panathinaikos faces EA7 Emporio Armani Milan on the same night. More fixtures follow on October 28, including Olympiacos Piraeus against Besiktas and Hapoel IBI Tel Aviv versus Anadolu Efes Istanbul.
