Lizzy McAlpine is taking her new record around the world. Tickets are on sale for The Over Country Tour, a 2027 run that covers Australia and New Zealand, the UK and Europe, and more than 30 dates in North America.
The tour supports her album Angel, released on September 18. It begins in February with shows in Adelaide, Perth, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Auckland. In March and April it moves to Europe, with dates in Barcelona, Paris, Munich, Vienna, Prague, Warsaw, Berlin, Oslo, Stockholm, Copenhagen, Cologne and Amsterdam, followed by London, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow and Dublin. The North American leg runs from April 30 to July 17 and reaches from Dallas to Seattle, with stops in Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto and Nashville, and a night at Madison Square Garden in New York.
Support changes by leg, with a rotating line-up that includes Mila Bea, Flyte, Searows and Post Animal.
Tickets went on general sale on Friday, October 2 at 10am local time, through Ticketmaster. Because the sale opened at 10am in each city's own time zone, the dates did not all go live at once.
If you are buying now, here is what to keep in mind. Madison Square Garden is by far the largest room on the North American leg, so it is the date most likely to still have a choice of seats. The European shows are in smaller venues and will be tighter: if your first-choice city is gone, look at the next country over, since several of these dates are only a short train ride apart. And check which support act is playing your night before you choose between two nearby dates, as the bill is different on each leg.
This is the widest tour McAlpine has put on sale, and the first to place her name on the marquee at Madison Square Garden. For an artist whose songs are built on quiet detail, the rooms are getting very large.
