El estadio 23 de Agosto es el campo de Gimnasia y Esgrima de Jujuy desde 1973. El nombre del estadio se debe a que en esa fecha se produjo el Éxodo Jujeño en 1812, cuando la población local se fue a Tucumán huyendo de la guerra.
El estadio fue remodelado en 2010 para la Copa América 2011. Actualmente, el 23 de Agosto tiene capacidad para 24.000 espectadores, aunque para partidos importantes hubo 35.000 personas.
