Inter vs Shakhtar Donetsk Tickets On Sale for Champions League Clash at San Siro

Football supporters light red flares in a packed stand at night

San Siro's next Champions League night is on sale from both sides. Inter are selling tickets for the visit of Shakhtar Donetsk on Wednesday, October 21, while the Ukrainian club has opened its own sale for the away section at a price that stands out: 10 euros.

The game belongs to Matchday 3 of the league phase and is played at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza in Milan. Inter have turned their home ground into one of the hardest places to visit in Europe over recent seasons, and Shakhtar, who continue to play their continental home games away from Ukraine, are used to long trips and difficult crowds.

Shakhtar started selling tickets to their supporters on September 21 through the club's official website. The away allocation covers sectors 301 to 318, and every ticket costs 10 euros. The conditions are strict: each buyer has to supply a full name, date of birth, and country and city of birth, along with a photo or scan of an identity document. Those details cannot be changed after the ticket is issued, and tickets cannot be exchanged or refunded. The tickets themselves arrive as PDF files by email, three to five days after the order and no later than 48 hours before kick-off.

On the Inter side, tickets are available through the club's official ticketing page in three forms. The Base ticket is the cheapest, with a fee if you later need to change the name on it: 15 euros in the first tier, 10 in the second and 5 in the third. The Plus ticket includes one name change in the price, and Hospitality adds premium seating and catering. Buyers for this match also receive priority access to a dedicated sale for Inter's later home game against Liverpool.

Before you buy, keep three things in mind. Tickets in Italy are issued in the holder's name and checked against a document at the turnstile, so bring the same ID you used to book. If there is any chance your plans change, the Plus ticket is usually worth the difference, because the name-change fee on a Base ticket can wipe out the saving. And arrive early: security checks at San Siro take time on European nights.

San Siro's days are numbered, with a new stadium planned for Milan. Each European night there is one fewer left to see.
