2027 Australian Grand Prix Tickets Go On General Sale as Melbourne Prepares for Its First F1 Sprint

Formula 1 cars round a bend beneath a packed hillside spectator area and covered grandstands

The wait is over for fans planning a trip to Melbourne. Tickets for the 2027 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix went on sale to the general public on Tuesday, October 6, at 12:00pm AEDT, opening up Albert Park to everyone after an early presale window.

Event details

The 2027 Australian Grand Prix runs from Thursday, April 1 to Sunday, April 4 at the Albert Park Circuit in Melbourne. It will be a different kind of weekend from previous years: Melbourne is hosting an F1 Sprint for the first time, the first ever held in Australia. Sprint Qualifying takes place on Friday and the Sprint Race on Saturday, with the Grand Prix itself staying in its Sunday slot.

When tickets went on sale

  • October 2, 12:00pm AEST: presale for American Express Card Members, with a limit of six tickets.
  • October 6, 12:00pm AEDT: general public sale, with a limit of ten tickets.

Ticket options and prices

Single-day adult Park Passes, the general admission option, start from $45 as listed by the organisers. For a reserved seat, grandstands on sale include the Piastri, Fangio, Prost, Jones, Senna, Stewart, Schumacher, Ricciardo, Lauda, Hill, Webber, Waite, Clark, Vettel and Button stands, and accessible platforms are available too.

How to buy

Tickets are sold through Ticketmaster in Australia, which is the route the event points fans to in order to guarantee a valid ticket on the day. If you are comparing races for next season, you can also browse our Formula 1 tickets collection.

Tips for fans

  • Think about which day you want. With the Sprint format, Friday and Saturday both carry competitive sessions rather than practice alone.
  • Decide early between a Park Pass and a grandstand. A Park Pass is the cheapest way in; a grandstand gives you a fixed seat.
  • Keep the purchase limit in mind if you are booking for a large group: ten tickets per buyer in the general sale.
  • Do not assume there is time to spare. The 2026 race drew 483,934 spectators across four days, a record for the event in Melbourne.

A first Sprint weekend and a record crowd last time out make the 2027 edition one to book sooner rather than later.
